Sending emails in Startdeliver involves setting up your email configurations and leveraging advanced features for better control. This guide explains how to configure DNS, send emails, and customize settings to suit your needs.

Note that you need to reach out to your CSM about sending emails before you follow the guide below.

Step 1: Configure Email Settings

1. Navigate to Settings -> Email settings.

2. You’ll find the following options:

Email DNS: Configure DNS records to authenticate your domain and enable email sending.

Email Types: Define the types of emails you send, such as 1-to-1 emails or transactional emails.

Manage Unsubscribed: Keep track of email addresses that have opted out of your communications.

Advanced Email Settings: Fine-tune other configurations, how many "personal" emails you can send at once.

3. Start with Email DNS:

• Click on it, follow the instructions to add DNS records, and verify them to activate email sending.

Step 2: Send Emails

Once the DNS setup is verified:

1. Go to a user list and select the user(s) you want to email.

2. Click Send email.

3. Compose your email:

Direct Input: Write your email in the provided form.

Use Templates: Select a pre-defined template.

To create templates:

• Go to Settings -> Templates -> Message templates.

• Add templates to save time and standardize communication.

Step 3: Advanced Email Settings

Use the advanced options to optimize your email strategy:

Email Types:

• Ensure the right email type is associated with your message such as 1-on-1 emails, transactional emails or any other type of custom email type you need.

Manage Unsubscribed:

• View and manage recipients who have opted out of your emails.

Fine-tuning via Advanced Settings:

• Manage how many users you can send personal emails to at once.

Pro Tips

  • Organize Templates: Use descriptive names for templates to easily find the right one.

  • Respect Unsubscribes: Manage unsubscribes to maintain trust and compliance.

  • Add a Clear Call-to-Action (CTA): Encourage engagement by including a compelling CTA in your emails. Examples:

  • Add a "Book a Meeting" link to schedule time with you.

  • Include a "Join Our Webinar" link to drive attendance.

  • Share a Help Center Link for self-service support.

  • Use an "Activate Feature" link to encourage product adoption.

Make your CTAs clear and actionable to guide your customers effectively!
